The House

The Name

Sabilí means "my path".

We chose it for what it embodies: the idea that a woman moves forward on her own path, and that her way of dressing belongs to her. Not a code to follow, not an gaze to satisfy, but a choice, renewed every morning. It is this freedom that we wanted to clothe.

The Origin

There are places where certain gestures have been made for so long that they are no longer explained. The Gulf is one of them. The abaya has accompanied daily life there for generations, and this familiarity has produced a precision that nothing can replace: they know what width allows free movement, what fabric weight falls well in the heat, where to place a seam so that it doesn't leave a mark.

Our partner workshop in the United Arab Emirates

Some of our pieces are made in this workshop, in the Emirates. We know where they are made, and by whom.

Our Requirement

An abaya should fit perfectly on the first try, and on the hundredth. Black must stay black. Seams must hold. The material must maintain its feel, wash after wash, season after season. This is a simple requirement to state and difficult to satisfy, and that is precisely why it serves as our rule.

We prefer a limited collection over a catalogue. Fewer pieces, but each capable of lasting. An abaya you will keep, not an abaya you will replace.

The Journey to You

We wanted these pieces to cross the sea.

So that a woman in Paris, Brussels, or Geneva can wear an abaya from the Emirates, the real one, the one found there, with all that implies in terms of material and craftsmanship. Without intermediaries, without dilution, without compromise along the way.

Each order ships directly from the Emirates and reaches you exactly as intended. Taxes and customs fees are included in the displayed price: nothing to pay upon receipt, nothing to anticipate. The journey is long, but it shouldn't be yours to bear.
